This graph presents an aggregated view of gross electricity consumption in the countries of the European Union. 

It includes consumption by Norway, a member of the European Economic Area (EEA). 

It excludes certain island countries (Ireland, Malta, Cyprus). 

For European countries other than France, data are taken from ENTSO-E's Transparency platform. For France, data are provided by RTE. 

Electricity generation in the countries of the European Union, overall and by sector. 

It includes consumption by Norway, a member of the European Economic Area (EEA).

It includes consumption by Norway, a member of the European Economic Area (EEA).

This graph presents an aggregated view of greenhouse gas emissions linked to electricity production in the countries of the European Union. 

It includes consumption by Norway, a member of the European Economic Area (EEA). 

It does not include certain island countries (Ireland, Malta, Cyprus). 

For European countries other than France, data are taken from ENTSO-E's Transparency platform. For France, data are provided by RTE. 

Greenhouse gas emissions are calculated from generation values per energy sources and emission coefficients provided by ADEME. 

This graph compares the evolution of spot electricity prices on the European market. The values shown are monthly averages of spot prices for each price zone considered. 

Electricity spot markets are used to buy and sell electricity the day before for the next day, on a European basis.

Without prejudice to the provisions of the present article, all data originating from EPEX SPOT SE are the exclusive property of EPEX SPOT SE or its subsidiaries. The user of the Analysis and Data Portal is however authorized to consult the data made available via the Analysis and Data Portal for internal and/or personal use. Any other use of data from EPEX SPOT SE by the user is strictly prohibited without the express consent of EPEX SPOT SE, in particular :

• any commercial use,
• the creation of any financial instrument or reference index for external use or for the benefit of third parties,
• any copy, distribution, marketing, exploitation or use with or for the benefit of third parties.

The user of the Analysis and Data Portal acknowledges that he/she is responsible to EPEX SPOT SE for compliance with these conditions by his/her employees, managers and service providers.
