About cookies

We use various cookies on the website to improve the interactivity of the website and our services.

What is a ‘cookie’?

A ‘cookie’ is a piece of information, usually small and identified by a name, that can be sent to your browser by a website you connect to. Your web browser will store it for a certain period of time and send it back to the web server each time you reconnect to it. Cookies have multiple uses: they can be used to store your customer ID on a commercial website, the current contents of your shopping basket, an ID that tracks your browsing for statistical or advertising purposes, etc.   Two types of cookies are stored on the ‘Analysis and Data’ website:

  • Session cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the website

These cookies are used to record the user's session during a visit. Each time the user visits the website, a random number is generated. This number is only stored for the duration of the connection.

  • Audience measurement cookies : Matomo

In order to adapt the site to the demands of its visitors, we measure the number of visits, the number of pages viewed, as well as the activity of visitors on the site and their frequency of return. This tracking is anonymous.

Matomo, the statistics tool used by this site, generates the following cookies:

MATOMO_SESSIDEnables anonymous audience tracking (the IP address is anonymised and cannot be identified by RTE).15 days
_pk_sess#Identifies the pages visited during a session. This cookie is deleted when the browser is closed.30 minutes

Les services de mesure d'audience sont nécessaires au fonctionnement du site en permettant sa bonne administration. Vous avez cependant la possibilité de vous opposer à leur usage.
